If you’re after something indulgent and comforting, the Brie & Bacon Melt hits the spot. Creamy brie and crispy bacon come together for a gooey, savoury toastie that oozes luxury without the price tag. It’s a premium-feeling toastie with only two core ingredients and works well across breakfast, lunch, or a snack menu.
✅ What You’ll Need
• 2 slices of sourdough or white bloomer
• 4-5 slices of smoked back bacon (pre-cooked until very crisp)
• 3–4 slices of brie
• Butter for spreading
• Optional: cranberry sauce or caramelised onion chutney for a sweet twist
✅ Method
1. Butter the bread – generously butter the outside of both slices.
2. Build the toastie – layer the bacon and brie inside the sandwich. If using chutney or cranberry, spread a thin layer inside before closing.
3. Cook – place in your high speed oven on the cooking tray (don’t put it directly on the metal tray as the butter will burn). Using the optional panini insert (available on Merrychef, Unox & CIBO+ options)
